Battleforge Receives Strategic Price Reduction

Published: January 01, 0001 Reading Time: Approx. 8 mins

EA has announced that their card-based real time strategy game BattleForge [[link]] is getting a new “competitive pricing strategy”, with the retail price dropping to $29.99.

I love the term “competitive pricing strategy”. It’s a lovely way to say that not enough people were buying the game, so we lowered the price. The new price makes a great deal more sense than the original $50 price tag, especially for a game that has players purchasing in-game cards for real-world money.

$29.99 is [[link]] a pretty good deal for the game, though I get the feeling that eventually this is one of those titles that will be available [[link]] for next to nothing, relying solely on card purchases to generate revenue.

Some games are a bit laggy on my phone at times, but the variety of games and the smooth desktop experience make up for it. Overall, the website offers a great gaming experience for both casual and serious players.
